scrap...if it were not for the TM community making mods of maps, tanks, and weapons...this game would probably not be played much at all. Yes...it is a very cool game that is readily modded by people...but will not have staying power for general masses which have the attention span of 6 months...which in some sense is fine with me...

the masses, which i am a member of, have an inital attention span of about 6 months. after that, we move on to a new game. later, we rediscover old games and play them again. this games staying power is from the mods, like you said. it gives the game more variety. a truely good game that everyone likes has enough fans that they circulate, no one knows eachother, thats why the TM fans amaze me so much, but a massive amount of clans form and small groups of friends form.

I have played loads of games but none as good as TM. That game has not been invented yet. I never play mods but if they bring in more punters then thats good to.

And i am one of the original games players from the 70s, Remember ping pong.

Grilla, you mean just plain "Pong"?

Yeah, I remember. Used to play it in bars.

I still have my first Atari somewhere, and a whole mess of games collecting dust. But they were at the top of their class back in the day.

(I still get flash-back hand cramps from playing Space Invaders for hours on end.)

some of the old games have great gameplay but if you dont think the new ones are good too your crazy. it's a multi-billion dollar industry and they put a lot of work into them now. buy or rent a GameCube and super smash brothers melee, star fox adventures, and a few others and you will see what i mean

i dont compare video games like that, different generes of games are rated separately. EX.: a tank battler like TM could not be compared mor than loosely to a game like S.S.B.M. or mario sunshine

we dont get many chances to wear sweaters down here in miami. actually it would be a lot more comfortable to just go naked, but no one wants to see that! when is cold enough i perfer to wear a jacket or long-sleeve shirt as i generally dont like sweaters and the coldest it gets (about 50-60 degrees in the day) is usually still too hot
