Ok, i've made a bat program... It will automatically update the arts/objects/sounds of all the mods. So this way you can get onto any server thats running, and you'll have the new mods ya need for it. But the problem is I need someone whos willing to host unzipped bitmaps objects and sounds on their computer, and let everybody download off of an ftp server from them..... So anybody wanna help out?

ok, after being told repeatedly how insane I was (and am).... Im going to try and get it to work with zips, im gonna use free version of pkunzip. It'll be a bit more complicated but it will also be easier to host So, now is anybody able/willing to host files? Art/Objects/Sound.

w00t!, well if we can find a way to compress them it shouldn't be nearly 500 megs, i'd figure RC's exagerating again (pfft)!. Should only total 499 megs.

hmm, we also might be able to have a *server* art/object/sound file thingamajig. Each server runner sends the art objects and sound over onto ftp. Then you run bat, choose server, download, it goes to directories in addons...etc

So you are going to make a batch file that downloads a zip, renames the addons folder, unzips the file, then after you finish playing deletes the new addons folder and restores the original?

Just tryin to see what it is that you are gonna do 8-)

GA seems not to understand that a BAT is not a program

Of course not. It is a piece of wood.
