This was a clip from the LAN party thrown at Sue, Jon, and mine house on July 13th. People who attended were Ras, Coax, GA, Jon, Harmless, 666, Susan, Vemon, and Enigma. At one point in the playing several of us decide to change to mite tanks...and that is where the clip picks up...
Just click on the link and download the movie...you will need QuickTime to view. Thank harmless for putting music and video together.

Harmless commets: you might need to download an additional QT component
it only takes 5 seconds and quicktime installs it for you.

Used the iAVerKey ProDV scan conveter. It plugs in between you monitor and computer with output jacks to your VCR...you will need special cabling to plug the S-VHS cable of the scan converter to a normal 3 plugs on the VCR...anymore questions...ask harmless...

i used an iAVerKey ProDV, $100. (hardware)
so there is no software needed.
basically, you hook your monitor into it
and then the iAVerKey hooks into your video card.
so the video card send signals that gets intercepted before they get to the monitor.
it then has video out and you hook that into a vcr. so everything that shows on monitor gets taped and/or shown on your tv.

i also used the line out of my sound card
and hooked that into the vcr, so i could get
the TM sounds too. so i was able to get
video and audio onto a vcr tape and it showed up quite nicely on the tv too.

only problem is that it is on a vcr tape, so
you have to import it into your computer somehow.

so i got the dazzle hollywood DV bridge which
accepts input from a vcr and used the firewire connection on my imac and imovie to
import it.

yikes.... and take about literally using
gigabytes of hard drive space... 2 to 3 minutes of video will eat up 500MB or so...
but once you are done editting, and export it
to quicktime, you can get it down to about 20MB.

anywho.... fun fun fun.
toodles

Too bad you couldn't get a higher frame rate on the linked clip. It really doesn't do justice to how mother friggin fast I was spinning! And yes, for all of you who suspected, there was an Alt-K in there. I was trying to stop the spin!

Well.....if we can meet some place like St.Louis where we have to do about a equal amount of travelling. It would take me about 4 hours to ge there.I'm guessing it would be 5 from Wisconsin? There are several players that live around me.I'm serious about this too.I have a place in St.Louis where we can have it too.We could prob get 10 or more TM players to come. But I'm not driving all the way to WI Or is there is another location a little bit closer to you,and I'm not talking about Chicago Thats 8 hours for me.Looking at a map now and it looks like Spingfield,IL is about half way.St.Louis would take about 6 hours from Milwaukee. That might be a little too far unelss you guys are willing?

Sounds like some day we will have to organize a little TM convention. Something where a little business could be conducted, say maybe some testing of some new maps getting ready for distribution or something, so that the trip could be tax deductible, then we could all meet someplace FUN with a whole bunch of rented cpu's (so those of us without laptops can actually get on a plane) and play to our little hearts' content. It could be someplace central (Texas?) or someplace with cheap fares (hubs are in many places like LA, Phoenix, Atlanta), or someplace where someone in the TM community knows someone who could give us all a deal on the travel. . . Could be on the East Coast, so that the Euro TMers could have a chance of coming. . .(flights are cheap in the winter from England). A three day weekend of TM! w00t!

lol Coax!

How fast was that mofo spinning anyway? Now I've got to see this video.

So who's up in New York. I'm around Albany, Peeeto is up in here too, come on now, we could have 3 groups, and then, like in basketball, faceoff, do like a threeway capture the flag with everyone in one room... (well, three rooms, or four, whatever!) that would be cool.

If I were you and you were me and I fragged you whose score would go up?
