=DNX= Matrix Member	posted June 01, 2002 08:40 AM Ok, once again ive been acused of being anti-semetist - these tanks are here because they are part of the overall mod and storyline. So ill daw the line - i cannot post concise views without having my posts restricted and left 1 sided, so i withdraw the mod, it will cause nothing but trouble in the long run because it DOES depend on having good and bad guys and factions. So with that done n dusted, all the semetists happy again - lets get back to playing none flagged, non sided maps with no particular function other than to frag anything that moves with no apparent common goal other than to get the most kills. its clear that emotions still run strong - and im not about to upset them further. consider that an end to the matter. Perhaps ill make a flower tank based on bill n ben that shoots petals at a gentle speed doing minimal damage but making a nice gettle tinker as they float thru the air towards their friends OH NO _ THE GARDNERS WILL BE AFTER ME - IM BEING UNFAIR TO PLANTS NOW ! what about Weeds instead - DOH ! History is history and for people to imply that you are anti semetic because of it is bull sht. Your time and effort you put into making the mods is appreciated and I imagine that the vast majority of us would love to have them (since we do have our own minds and know the intent etc). I too have a number of family members who fought in the war against Germany and Japan. I also have family who are Jewish. End result - what does it really matter - since more than likely now that you have taken the mods out of circulation or i.e. won't be releasing them those same people will come out and say "See, we must of been right otherwise he would not of pulled them." People need to realize that they are entitled to their own view, and I would be the first to fight for that right for them, up until their point of view impedes my own rights. I know I am probably babbling now - so what else is new lol Basically what I am saying is go ahead and release them and if they can't take it F** Em. {Not very diplomatic but it gets the point across}. ------------------ Anarchists of the world unite and organize ;) And you too can be a militant pacifist! wolfman Member	posted June 03, 2002 10:33 AM If the symbols for the Soviets are acceptable - i.e. historical - there is no reason that the German/Nazi symbols should not be acceptable - i.e. for a historical context. In the older USSR more people were killed by the communists than by Hitler. I may not be making this point correctly but History is filled with episodes of mass kills and Stalin makes the top spot or one of the top spots and we are not hearing anyone demanding that the Soviet symbols be removed. Don't want to get into the he said she said thing. Take the mod pac people for what it is worth. No added issues or implied support of one side or another is meant. People just need to get a grip and not be hypersensitive. Quit wanting to play the Victim people (this is directed towards the ones that are screaming Anti Semitism. I come across that at work in regards to race when the majority of the people I have to further check are black or some other minority - never mind that 90 plus percent of the people coming in to the office are minority. I occassionally still get people playing victim stating you are picking on me. People tend to make assumptions that support their own views in an attempt to feel superior or to be able to use as an excuse in life. Wheeeeeeeeew Matrix if you want me to drop this line of thought let me know. Support you and all that you do. Just a vocal few are whining way too much. It should not be an issue but if someone does not like it they can "turn off the TV" as they say and not download it or use it. I am of German decent and would not have a problem with it.
