The Server "Robo Jaws Euro Server" is still in testing, You have the honour of
Being the first player to login. Followed by Lion and then Red Dog

The server is being run on a Pentium II Pro 266MHz Overclocked to 350MHz,
64Meg RAM. I have a ISDN 64k, which has free access from 6pm to 8am
Mon-Fri and all weekend, If all goes well then I plan to run the server at those
Times.
At then moment I am going to keep to standard maps and weapons for Ver 1.6, and
Play around with the number of players that can join to find out when it gets lagggy.
Tonight 22/1/02 I am setting it to 6 (the server may not stay up all night)

Why am I setting up the server? So that us players in Europe can play at a sensible time .

Yes the server can be laggy (any suggestions ) FPS at 10, data rate at 4k.
I could move it to a faster PC but I think ISDN is the bottleneck .
Had the DOGs on last night Bonzo, Hut, King John 1st pings increased when the nukes exploded.
The night before (the first time the server up) I had Lion (Holland) Red Dog (Ipswich),
I was playing via my LAN (not on the server). Now Ipswich is about 40 miles away from me
I was pinging at 100 as was Lion but Red was at 200+.
My Internet provider is Demon and they do seem to suffer form routing problems now and again
It will affect some subscribers but not others. For example last Sunday had problems browsing
the web but no probs when playing the CTF later that night.

I saw the ping from the master server zero, mabe a NAT problem I have enabled the ports I
use for the game
Master 12499
Client 12350
Server 12300

Your fps should be a lot lower - try 8.

And you 4k setting should be 3k. That is what I use for the DDM's.
