I have 256 and thats seems to be enough for me.I have two computer related purchases in the next month.
1#-nVidia Geforce 3(my Voodoo 3 is getting pretty old)
2#Second HD(20gigs with only 2 free )
I don't have a local Best Buy but did you happen to see any hard drive specials?I'm pretty sure I'll have to get the vcard online.Cheapest I've found for the vcard is $350,granted I haven't done that much comparing prices.I use http://www.cnet.com to compare prices and find the cheapest. They put it in a nice list format with prices and links the the retailer, which I find pretty handy when buying stuff for my computer.Once I get those two items I'll be happy.
Oh yeah, guess I could use a 1.5g PIIII chip if anyone happens to come across on.Can't say I've ever upgraded a processor before.I'm assuming you just lift the lever, pop the old one out,and put the new in?
My 850mhz is ok,but I've heard that the Geoforce 3 will not improve speed that much on sub-gigahertz processors.

Try www.mysimon.com to as an alternate source for prices. Sometimes it can beat Cnet.
