This morning my brain greeted me with a fresh thought: "Why not suggest to LDA that they take TM to Linux - free! - to build a strong user base.
The background of this idea: If you like linux, you are going to like TM - hard to handle, but absolutely l33t if you manage to.

Would this be an option for you, LDA?
Maybe if this game got popular on linux, windoze gamers would consider buying it, too?

Maybe you could even sign a contract with one of the main distributors - they could put a 7th CD into the package and pay you a buck for every copy sold this way.

If this game uses as much of windows as it shows of it (hardly anything) and is as purely C++ and OpenGL-based as it looks, a linux port shouldn't even be too hard to do... Plus it would definitely be among the best 3D games available for Linux.

Yes, Tread Marks was designed for easy porting...and Linus is worth considering.

The problem remains with each port, getting into the markets.

The late creater of the Peanuts comic strip, including the characters Charlie Brown, Lucy, her brother Linus, and Charlie Brown's dog Snoopy, as Coax pointed out.
