I have been asked by several people how to create alternate MP3 directories (so you don't have to move all your music). Here is how:

  • In your Tread Marks directory (Drive:\Program Files\Tread Marks 1.5) create a file called "dirs.cfg"
  • Open this file in a text editor.
  • Goto your desired music dir and make sure the directory that has your music files in it is called "music" - Tread Marks does not look recursively at subdirectories so your "music" dir must be where the files you want to include in Tread Marks are located.
  • In the text editor add the following line:
    code:
    Drive:\Path_To_Music_Dir

  • Make sure that the line does NOT end in a "\" character.
  • Run Tread Marks and enjoy your own music

Do the MP3s have to be mono (like the wavs were in 1.0.1), or will they play as long as they're MP3s?

Woohoo!

Much nicer than having a bunch of mono wavs cluttering up my hd :-)
