I have the logitech Extreme Digital, and i just have to go into the control button screen and click on the thing that i want to make a button do, and press the button on the joystick.

You mean the rudder control (twisting the joystick)? It does that automatically.

Try RbJoy at http://chicago.supersharewareman.com/Apps/1982.asp or JoyMouse at http://download.mycomputer.com/detail/64/61.html

Both of these utilities convert joystick/pad button presses into key strokes.
