yes, there are LOTS of AI's!

hehe i don't actually like mass drivers all that much (i'm more of a flame thrower type) but they're easy to find cause of that infinitely long laser beam they sweep out. . . that n' the fact that you always seem to find me when i'm sportin' a mass hehe

Actually I got a question. I've never seen kangaroo mines before today. Are new weapons updated thru the network? Or were they always there and i just missed them? I know i didn't download anything into treadmarks myself. . . Anyone got any ideas what's happening?

the full version of TM provides for "entity synching", or automatic download*, of weapons modifications. Random Chaos (the maniac!) has creatively invented those cute, fuzzy ani-mines and made them available on his server. don't get too close - they bite!

you might have also noticed the SpireMaker and mosquito missile weapon on his server...

* actually, i don't know if the mods are DL'd and permenantly stored on you hard drive...

awesome! it seems like they're permanent since they're a feature on the landscape of my server now. . .i gotta go out n' find a few more things to synch up =D

Kangaroo Mines can be found at:
http://treadmarks.3d-unlimited.com/files/mods/randomchaos

(actually the sheep mine can be - still need to upload the Kangaroo Mine, but it will be there soon - have to do a few changes first though)

hey Lore - you mean that just because you just logged in to RC's server, now YOUR server has the mods? (and you didn't install them on purpose?)

i think that's pretty neat, but that might mess some people up if an unintended consequence of playing on someone elses server...

well, it's the only way i can explain it. . . i was playing on rc's server last night, then this morning i hopped into my server for a quick run, and lo n' behold! "g'day mate" 's left n' right, and kanga mines abound!

after i reset my machine, the kanga mines were no more. . . either the entities were cached from my visit to rc's place (i still don't have kanga mines right now), or i've been smokin' way way way too much crack.

=)

well i just wanted to say the sheep mines are a menace! maybe that weapons oughta be less powerful. . . those little sheep marching cross the landscape, bringing terror and wool everywhere they go. . . i dunno =) it's the stuff of nightmares i tell ya!

i love the plasma weapon rc made, it's truly awesome =)

ya know, i think it'd be neat if there were some kinda city map. . . anyone know if any of those are floating around?

Was your server on when you logged onto my server? That might explain it.

no map mods yet (that i know of). LDA should be releasing the map editor soon
(PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEASE LDA!)
and then we'll start seeing new maps all over!

i have a number of ideas and can't wait to try them out...

oh, and Lore, your server has such a great ping (for me anyway ) - i was wondering if you would consider reducing the number of AI's (or getting rid of them alltogether), especially during heavy play time?

i hate those AI's - they get in the way more than those darn sheep!

Hum... okay, i'll cut it down to 4 ai's. I was just annoyed at how few targets there were to begin w/. i guess 4 isn't horrible.

Lore's server works great from where I sit. Keep the AI's up though. Yours is the only Full ver server I see runnin anymore and I didnt pay to play the freggin demo! ;-) If only they (LDA) could implement some sort of player-joining-detection-thingy (too tech for ya?). Example: you have server set at 4 AIs, when someone joins one AI is randomly dropped, when another joins another AI drops, etc. Then when ppl leave AIs are added again. I think I read UT or Q3A or both have something. Hey maybe I should start a post about this!

Please keep the server up Lore
Thanks ;-)

Hey that's a great idea blacktooth! I'm backin' ya on that one, I'd love to be able to set the ai's at around 8 or so, and have them drop out as humans come in. It'd make life more interesting, that's for sure =)

And Blacktooth, it was great havin' ya blast me to pieces =) Lotsa fun, come back anytime =)

Hawk, in that game, I was trying to get into the volcano to see what would happen but it kept magically launching me off the top (signs of a strong anti magnetic field). I never got stuck but I didnt try very long for the AIs kept pestering me. Obviously LDA is hiding something very special down there to use such tactics to keep us out. I wonder if Seumas is down in there lobbing the nukes? Imagine a nuke lobber riding on the side of my Claymore XLT! Muahaha, I know! Use the plasma cutter to dig into the side of a volcano...or maybe nuking the volcano...I see I have my mission cut out for me...spoon!

sounds like the miners need to mobilize for this project... first was the Ramp, and now for the Volcano!!!

I got stuck down inside the volcano. There's a little golden firey ball that launches nukes at random intervals and no way to get out, because if you fall in, you go under the nuke spewer

Nuke Spewer... wasn't that a title for a porn?

Hey! Why did they clear my "Multiplayer Suggestion" post before I got a reply? Hmm... I sense dissent amongst the troops Cap'n!
