ok if your going to edit the uv mapper please add this feature....the ability to select the mesh and apply planar or cylinderal mapping and have it apear in the unwrap window.

my other question is, if the flag is blowing in the wind hard coded or an entity? if its a entity wich one cause i need to use that effect.(not the flab bouncing arround to the physics the flag doing that mesh deformation simulating it blowing in the wind)

I may convert the UVMapper to use OpenGL, but probably not much else.

The insignia and team flags are entities, but they are specific to hanging off the tank's antenna, so I doubt the effect can be used elsewhere.

ah hell why not try it for the fun?

oh about the uv mapper. have you ever used uvw mapping and unwrap uvw for 3dsmax?

that would be extremly welcome in your uv mapper utility. this is how it works:

select the faces you want to map

apply mapping coordinats(planar cylerdaral(these are the only ones i use))

unwrap the uvw. this displays the faces on a bmp like in your current uv mapper(RC sent it to me so i could skin my tank(hopefully thats cool with you. if not i take full responcibility))

this will allow you to have mroe precise control over how the skin getts mapped onto the mesh.
