1st my humble apologies to the programmers; one of them might have read this before in a mail I sent before I found out about this forum.
Now for my idea: I think the nukes (and matter bombs and cruise m's) ought to be visible on the radar screen, and also there should be some kind of "incoming!" warning. I personally find it a bit annoying to be blasted out of nowhere (especially in battle race), but it's pure fun to frantically try to avoid them once you know they're coming - and being hit anyway doesn't take away from it but adds even more laughter. Whaddaya think?

Great idea. I agree that they should be on radar. Not much you can do about it sometimes, but other a hill is a great thing to hide behind.

Incomming indicator would only work with Cruise missle since they are the only things that truely track. However, a "Lock" indicator would mean anytime something has locked on (such as the MRL which has limited targeting). Unfortunately, from the way I understand how the game runs, it might not be that easy, since the lock location is only know by the individual that fired it and the server. Therefore, it would need another data transfer bit to tell you if you have a Lock or not. Also, it might have problems since the tank arrows also work on the Lock priciple -- it locks onto the nearest enemy and tells you where they are.

I see. Seeing them on radar will have to be enough then <sigh>. just kidding.
thanx for agreeing with me! does anyone else have an opinion?

There already is a way to tell your about to get whacked. First of all, the missles fly around and leave a trail, cluing you in on the fact that one is there. Second, they have a sound that gets louder as they get nearer. You can tell by that that a missle is chasing you and react. Least thats how I do it.

yeah, you're right, Kaeto. I do it that way too (as does anybody else, I'd bet), but I would still like to have a visual on this - because the nuke sounds awfully much like the caterpillar screeching of your own tank. I get confused quite a lot, especially when sliding. I was wondering, is that just my imagination or do these sounds actually sound similar?
