Can the next version of Rival Ball, if there is one, have it so each player has the same powerup under each block? For example, many times in course 1 I get all of the explosives on the bottom row but get no powerups, and when I glance at the top screen the other player is almost done with the board.

Good idea, that way, it would be more fair, and based on skill, not on the random luck basis. Although, this may prove to add to network congestion... good suggestion however, and I would like to see it be implemented if possible.

Playing Rival Ball online is like some "first come, first served" race.

The winner of a match really IS depending on the luck with powerups, besides during a "turbo blast-lasers + fireball mood", where your laser aim skills will be proved

otherwise: it's pretty much 50/50
