Hopefully we'll have it out before next weekend...unless testing out the lobby server slows us down...It should be a lot easier to navigate the menu choices as well... The high score screen will also allow the board-pack and board-set to be selected there, which will be much easier than the current system. Jim IP: |

Yes, some form of lobby chat is planned for 1.4The problem is to have something that allows for communication without opening the gates to those who would just spam and use abusive language... Naturally we want to preserve the family friendly nature of our site... We could use filters, or some form of symbolic language. I'm just not sure yet. Jim IP: |

Hi Rob(?),Was removing my last post (from yesterday) part of that testing? I may seem a little paranoid here, but I have my reasons. Just thought those days were over... IP: |

They probably updated a slightly older version(day or so) of the bboard to the new server and your post went to that magical land where my socks go. ------------------ Tread Marks Ladders

I think Jim posted it in the Tread Marks forums but just to let everyone know here we are currently in the process of moving our web site from our ISP to our in house servers. As a result there may be some temporary disruptions while we get everything set up.Sorry about the inconvenience. If any problems do persist please let us know. Rob

We've been fighting through some technical problems resulting from moving our servers etc. There's still some work to do on the lobby server but have been distracted by other obligations... but hopefully soon. Regards, Jim

I opened the Rival Ball page from your home site and clicked on the download buttun under the text: ''we invite you to try out the free version fo Rival Ball 1.3'' or something like that, and then I got a 404 page not found error. Hi, I'm new here and I have read all these entries on both pages and my educated guess is that RivalBall 1.4 {the new version} will not be out for at least another two to three months. IP: |

Try late Monday or Tuesday next week.I'll post a new topic with the link on the Rival Ball forum as soon as it is ready. The posting of high scores should be no problem, but we want 1.4 to ease out slowly in case any problems show up with the new multi-player lobby. Jim IP: |
