I just purchased Rival Ball over the net, since I have been a DX-Ball user for several years. I am running a 1Ghz/512MB Athlon based system, with the latest DirectX drivers. If I try to start the game all goes well until I actually hit the "Start" button, whereupon I am unceremoniously dumped back to the desktop. Anyone else have any similar troubles?
TIA

Hi,

Most problems of this sort are caused by hardware drivers. Please download and install the newest drivers for both your video and sound cards.

If that doesn't correct the problem then you can download the newest version of DirectX from http://www.microsoft.com/directx .

Also, make sure that no programs are running in the background during play. Right-click and close any extraneous icons in your system tray, especially anti-virus programs.

If you still have problems after all that, then please drop me a note at support@longbowdigitalarts.com with details of your system setup, such as the make and models of your video and sound cards and what version of windows you are running.

Regards,

Dylon
