I was wondering if there is a way to start at the level of the game that you ended with. For example, if I am at board 8, and I lose the game, I don't have the option to start with that board level. In earlier versions of this game ( including the one I originally played on my Amiga2000) there was an option to do that.

No, DX-Ball 2 doesn't have a continue feature.
