DXBall 2 used to make the screen on my old computer freeze, and I would have to shut the computer off manually and reboot. I have a new computer, and it does the same thing to this one. DXBall 1 runs OK. What could be the problem and solution?JK IP: |

Hi, Make sure that you've downloaded and installed the newest version of both the video and sound card drivers for your system. If that doesn't correct the problem download and install the newest version of directx from http://www.microsoft.com/directx . If the problem persists then please drop me a note at support@longbowdigitalarts.com that includes the details of your system setup, like your video card model and what version of windows you are running. Hi, I followed your suggestion. DX Ball 2 still crashes the computer, where DX Ball and Rival Ball play with no problems.Janet IP: |

kierjart,This may not help you but... I had a similar problem with Rival Ball, probably because too many programs were running in the background. So, I used "EndItAll", a nice little program that lets you terminate programs that are launched at start-up and that are kept running in the back-ground. You can define which programs are stopped and which programs are to be kept running (e.g. I'd never stop "ZoneAlarm", since I'm always connected to the Net through cable). You can find it here. Hope this helps IP: | |
