I have always been able to play DXBall2 without any problems on my computer, until recently when I bought a DVD drive instead of the old CD drive. Then suddenly gameplay in DXBall and other computer games became jerky and in fact unacceptable, even though I play the games from my hard disk and the CD drive has nothing to do with them. Even the screen saver (3D flying objects) became jerky. I had DirectX 5 or 6 on my computer, and I tried downloading and installing DirectX 7.0a (the latest version). Well, it worked. It solved the problem completely. Maybe this can help someone with a similar problem..... Itisi IP: | |
