We respect and protect your privacy.
Your personal information is only collected when you give it to us and is only used to process orders and to help us provide you with technical support.
Your email address is required to create an account, however, your email address will remain private unless you explicitly select the “Show Email” option in your profile settings.
To protect you, the checkout area of our site is protected by Secure Socket Layers (“SSL”) encryption technology. This prevents information from being intercepted and read as it is transmitted over the Internet to our server and to the credit card company.
We take security seriously, and part of that responsibility is ensuring that your personal information remains private even in the unlikely event that our servers are compromised. To that end, we never store any of your credit card information and our site has been certified under the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (“PCI DSS”), and industry-wide standard developed by the credit card companies to protect your credit card information.
Additionally, we store all passwords in a one-way hash, which means we never know your password, and in the event that an attacker compromises our servers, they will not be able to decode your password either. For maximum strength, all passwords created after August 2009 are encrypted with SHA-512, and additionally encoded with a random 32-byte salt.
