Yeah my server supports resume, so a download manager is advisable where possible. Best place to get the new Anarchy pack from is the downloads button at the top of the DMF forum; or in the members only FTP.

I AM AN IDIOT! I installed the pack at the root of TM..(yeap, I already called me an idiot)...and now my game it's all screwed up. I managed to change the font since that was the most irritating part.. but I guess I'll start changing the sounds/intro/etc as I go along... any suggestions... by the way.. I can see how some can modify your own TM's at home for your own benefit. The flames are not quite blinding as the "normal" ones...... say has anyone tricked us all along???? IP: |

The flames are the more realistic versions from A2597's High Quality TM Pack. None of the graphics have anything to do with server code so you can change em to your benefit if you wish... You could erase smoke, makes tanks brilliant white to stand out better, celshade the textures or even make smoke be a downpointy arrow for you to help with fragging smokers. I personally dont see the fun in that, but there are those who claim skill, that do I could use the halloween pack, anarchy pack, hq pack or the cel-shade pack to play on any server. The graphics and sounds on your system are exactly what youyr game uses or calls - long as the filename is valid - the game doesnt care if its an original file or not. So yes, it could be used as a form of cheating. IP: |

It was fun playing it though... but I'm afraid I overwrote some original files and the TM cd doesn't allow you to explore... how am I going to retrieve the intro files?? (thumb.db)... Well, I'm not trying to cheat, and if someone that is "good" is using this changes than he is not. (I'm going to keep the flames though but I really don't feel when DNX pop's up when I open TM.... :| I need intro files .... argh! I don't want to reinstall everything again... IP: |

Easy ... list your directory, and view the list "arrange by modified" in details mode. Delete all the files that were put on with todays or yesterdays date. Then, unpack again USING FOLDER NAMES so all the stuff lands in the addons folder where it should be. All 3 maps have been tested with 40 AI's on SP in 1024x768 in 16bpl mode on a GeForce 2 card / 1Ghz AMD and 1 Gb Ram. There was no visual lag apparent at all. Online maybe another story, i have no server to test with.. that said, the majority of the pack is mod weapons that dont lag, stock graphics changes (gfx, sound) and flag/team packs which wouldnt lag anything anyway. Give it another go m8... properly this time IP: |

the pack works just fine, but I unpacked it to the root so, some files got overwritten.. if I delete the ones I just put; the folders will be empty (I wouldn't have an intro IP: |

What I tell ya Pab? When you unzip something, make sure you extract all to whereever you have Treadmarks. For me the default is:C:Program Files\Treadmarks 1.5 You select extract to that default path with 'All files/folders in archive' IP: |

Actually that's what I did! but this pack should be on its own addon folder; otherwise it rewrites the original files IP: |

I installed it using winzip with the method I mentioned then when I 'd had enough, I changed the addons folder name from addons to 'addons1' and that sorts it out for ya!IP: |

Pab, this pack DOES have its own addons folder....When i say it replaces original files, what i mean by that is new graphics in the same ADDON location, and using the same filename. TM looks for the addons folder before it looks at its own master files. For example: c:\treadmarks\art\textures\pinkball.bmp would get used in the game UNLESS tm finds: c:\treadmarks\addons\art\textures\pinkball.bmp Its the same filename in the same structure, but in the addons folder, that takes away the need to rewrite any ents unless you intend to change the behavior of the weapon/projectile/flag whatever... Ingame, TM will use the addon version of the file over its own. I say again, The Horror pack (indeed NONE of my packs) will overwrite ANY file in the stock tm directories - bar one.... and only in this horror pack, and thats the "dedicated" file which runs the server, AND for those who have chosen to run said server this weekend, have been informed of that. The only way any files would overwrite anything in your stock tm directories, is if u were a complete numpty and didnt use the "use folder names" tickbox option before you unpacked. But thats what a readme is for And i clearly state in it, unpack in the normal way - which is to say "USE FOLDER NAMES". IP: |

so I have a mega-addon folder with all sorts of maps, weapons, and now the horror server... I'll see how long I can put up with the sounds and the dmf intro..(I think I'll just make a CAT intro and switch them other than that.. everything works.. btw; the halloween maps are cool. So are you running the server on Sat & Sunday?IP: |

a good tip is to have a separate folder, as Matrix has, with addons and have the root folder with no addons. It means that if you're going into a server with mods in it, you find the appropriate addon pack, place it in the root folder and name it 'addon'. Then when you're finished with it, return it to the original folder and rename it appropriately.IP: |

so much work ... but I know now, with all downloads.. it's good to keep a clean install and everything on the side.... but I just want to play! so, so far; putting everything in 1 addon folder has worked great... all I do it's start the game and play anywhere I want. IP: |

This is how i do it.... I just rename whichever folder i need to "Addons", when i need it, then change it back afterwards. IP: |
